Round 10 Game Recap: Roosters vs. Titans

Another week another win for the rampaging roosters like it has been for the last 6 weeks. The points scoring machine continues to roll with another 6 tries scored – unfortunately only 2 conversions.

Not sure but I’d be trying to drop kick if I drop the ball from now on rather than just dive on it – seems like the NRL officials are allowing that in this iteration of rugby league.

A strong and even start to the match with both teams going back and forth until the roosters finally got going due to a controversial try to Robert Toia in the 30th minute with the roosters adding another try 5 minutes later to captain James Tedesco. As a Roosters fan, even I could see that it was a no try. From that point on, the Roosters ran riot running in 6 tries to 2.

Once again, when the Roosters completion rate is high, the roosters enviably win the match. They dominated time in possession and run metres which must have tired the weary Titans the longer the match went.

The spine of DCE, Sam Walker, Reece Robson and James Tedesco look like they have played together for years – a really exciting sign for all roosters fans as the year goes on. One can only hope Teddy stays around during the origin period.

 Awards of the Week:

Dunce of the weekend:

Victor Radley – another suspension and will miss the Magic Round match against the Cowboys. Imagine the amount of games he has missed over his tenure.

Superstar of the weekend:

James Tedesco – the stats speak for themselves – 2 tries, 1 try assist, 332 all run metres, and 5 tackle breaks.

Looking Ahead

As both teams move forward in the season, the Roosters will look to build on their success, looking for their 7th win in a row against the North Queensland Cowboys at Magic Round on Saturday at 5:30pm. It will be a good test against another form team and with origin positions on the line, this match to me is the match of the round.
